First edition hard back binding in publisher's original light brown oatmeal cloth covers, gilt title and author lettering to the spine and to the front cover, all page edges gilt, thick card stock end papers. 8vo. 10'' x 7½''. Contains [viii] 81 printed pages of text with tissue-guarded frontispiece, double page map, many full-page monochrome photographs throughout, all on smooth art paper. Foxing to the early pages from the title page to page 25, brown spotting to the edges of the front cover and in Very Good condition, no dust wrapper as issued. Loosely inserted is a Record of Service of a soldier Richard Dorian Badcock of the Hants Battery, R.H.A., born in 1892, joined up August 26th, 1914, with details of service and commands until he was transferred to 'A' Branch Headquarters, 3rd March, 1919. SIGNED by him to the front free end paper R. D. Badcock'. Member of the P.B.F.A.
