Faber, George Stanley [George Stanley Faber (often written G. S. Faber; 25 October 1773 - 27 January 1854) was an Anglican theologian and prolific author.

Uniform matching first edition hard back binding in contemporary half brown leather, marble paper sides, gilt and burgundy morocco title and author lettering label to the spines, gilt tools. 8vo. 9'' x 5½''. Faber was a typologist, who believed that all the world's myths were corrupted versions of the original stories in the Bible, and an advocate of Day-Age Theory. He was a contemporary of John Nelson Darby. His writings had an influence on historicism and dispensationalism, this series of 17 sermons over the two volumes deals with sanctification, inspiration, regeneration, resurrection etc. Contains (xii)-4, 484; (viii), 416 printed pages of text. Foxing to the end papers, old tide mark across the bottom edges of the end papers to volume I and bottom edge of the front end paper to volume II, sound tight binding Member of the P.B.F.A.
