Dear Sir / Madam ,
I wish to thank you for the books which I have now received via Royal Mail today Wed 31st Aug 2011 , at 10-40am. I originally ordered them from yourselves through Abebooks on Order No. 88715521.
The two books , both by the renowned Railway writer O. S. Nock , were as follows;
" William Stanier - A Biography " and " 60 Years of West Coast Express Running ".
Both books are in advertised condition . Which is exceptional , particularly with the Stanier biography , since that book itself was published in the year I was born , 1964.
Both books look even better as they are both finished off in the Protected cover , attached to each respective books jacket . Very nice indeed.
Many thanks also for the enclosed information relating to the further titles by O. S. Nock you currently have in stock.
I will study the list you supplied and will let you know in due course , if I choose to make any further purchases from your bookshop.
All the best.
Yours Sincerely
Alan Keenan

I have been collecting books all my life and must congratulate you on the presentation of the volumes you sell.
You have just sent me the Janet Baker Full Circle with which I am delighted.
It is an added joy to receive a book so obviously presented and packed with such care. Thank you to all concerned. I am pleased to be ordering another couple of volumes from you.
I will be sorting my own books & theatre programmes in order to prepare for a move of house. Are you on the lookout for such things and may I send you a list ?

Subject re: 8397 Real Grit by S Hocking
Dear Colin,
Thank you for applying the discount - it's kind of you. My comments are positive because you make exceptional efforts in respect of customer service, and I say this advisedly, as I buy up a lot of books on-line, and I find standards (see even in so basic a matter as answering an e-mail of preliminary enquiry for an advertised book) very variable, in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. I have contacted 97 different booksellers since Jan 1st this year, and you are in the top five for speedy reply, straightforward dealing, consistent quality of photos and overall ease of transaction. When browsing ABE and other search listings, if I see that you and competitors are listing much the same book, I would, all things being equal, every time buy from you, even if your copy were a bit dearer. That said, you must have the patience of old Job himself, because I am well aware that there are many, many time-wasting, troublesome customers out there...
I would be most interested in the article. I had no notion of Alan or a Salome Hocking (Salome Hocking - a wonderful name!). I wonder whether she was a dancer... I will take care of it and send it back ASAP.
Cheers - Andrew Bell

I received the Joyce Lankester Brisley anthology today. Thank you! It is in beautiful condition, exactly as it was described, and you did a marvelous job of packaging and shipping! I have to say, I had only one other experience with buying via the Internet from a shop in the UK, and it was somewhat negative, in that watermarks on the edges of the pages was not mentioned in the description or in the email correspondence and it was just sent in a mailer, so the top corners were bumped when I received it. I will definitely be going through your catalog to see if there is anything else I am interested in, because you are obviously an honest bookseller!

Dear Mr. Button,
I have ordered dozens of books through ABE and their ilk over the last three years. No big deal in itself...
But rarely does a book described "as new" by it's vendor actually match that rarified condition! This book does; and the care with which you packaged it and the exactitude of your description should be a lesson to online book dealers everywhere on HOW TO DO IT RIGHT!
I hope to have the opportunity of dealing with your company again in the future.
