Contains short poems, principally sonnets, written under the different circumstances of the author's life. Some were written in moments of great strife and anxiety; particularly during the second world war. Others have been inspired by the simple observation of nature, and others by historical events of general interest and form a Gibraltarian contribution to the literature of the Commonwealth. These poems should have a special appeal for all who lived in Gibraltar during the period of the enforced evacuation of non-essential personnel.
