First edition in publisher's original hand sewn conker brown paper covers, yapped edges, small monochrome photograph to the front cover, secured with rose ribbon. 12mo. 6½'' x 4¾''. Contains frontispiece, 40 pp with 5 further single-sided monochrome photographs throughout. Book is dedicated to Ambrose Gorham, 1902 Grand National winner and philanthropist, who tried to save the village from so-called progression, on his death in 1933, he bequeathed his property in the village in trust to be administered by the Brighton Corporation. Small creases to the yapped edges, else in Very Good condition, no dust wrapper as issued.
